Monday blues

I don't know why I'm feeling blue. Actually I do, but I'm trying to supress that thought. Not the first time I'm facing this problem anyway. I'm broke T__T. Try not to ask mom for money, but then again, the car needs petrol. Zzz...

Yada yada~ I know I've been neglecting my blog for quite some time now. One month have past and entering the second month soon. Gee, it's been one month I've been free from all those doubt and anxiety of entering college and now I'm back to having anxiety of unable to cope up with all the workload and studying? time time time TIME!!! Yours truly needs time management coaching. English literature proven to take up most of my time and focus. Economics is something new to me, and I find it challenging. Psychology is interesting though. Moral studies..... gah!
Weekends are the days where I'm stuck at home rushing my homeworks which all due on Monday. Sometimes, I can't even go out for dinner and ask them to tapau for me. *sigh*

okay, short update... just because I ignored my blog for too long it's depressing.

College week 1

3rd day of college and I managed to miss my English literature class! Noooo... ='( Such is the product of a congested morning jam in KL. I didn't wake up late like I used to, okay? Caught up in the jam for almost one and a half hour for a 45 minutes journey. So nerve wrecking! I guess 6a.m-8a.m is the traffic jams peak hours, everyone going to work and such. Why lah my earliest class starts at 8.30am?

Thankfully, lessons hasn't officially started yet. Otherwise, I would've miss out a lot. Eng-lit is the first class almost every morning and my senior, Marsha told me "You should never never be late to any of her class." Even Miss Anne herself warned us that the very first time we met her. Now I pray that in the future I'll never be late for ANY classes.

Yay, new friends! So far, all of the friends I made are my classmates. We know each other for less than a week but we are bonding very well I'll say. Well enough to share food, drinks and even fitting room. xD I'm glad that we are somewhat in the same wavelength, that made me feel comfortable. We have lunch together and the only time I'm away from all of them is when they are having their Law or Math classes, which leaves me spending the time alone in the library or computer lab. Well, not exactly alone all the time, blood sucking mosquitoes are there too. =.=''

Turns out my June intake batch has the highest number of international students. I have Maldivians, Sudanese and Koreans in my class. Classes are so far so good. Tasked with 3 group assignments and viewed gruesome videos on the very first class of Moral Studies, followed by another bloodier video on the next day. oh joy~ =___=''

Air-cond is on full blast everyday. I tell myself, "Imagine yourself in London. Bear with it, Carmen!" while I shiver at intervals. Guess must get sweater and more long sleeves.

So yeah, enjoying college time. Not as daunting as I pictured it to be. Well at least for now, before the assignments datelines and exams kick in.

P.S: Having Japanese food at Nagomi for lunch Tuesday. *salivates*

I'm going to start college in less than a week's time. Starting next monday in Taylor's, for A-levels. ARRGH!!! Instead of being enthusiastic about it, I don't know why am I feeling worried. =/

I wonder what college life have installed for me. Somehow, I already dread about assignments even though I haven't had it yet and not really clear how it's like. No thanks to you guys *cough*eugene*cough* complaining about assignments in your blog, Facebook, MSN blah blah. I guess soon in the future I'll be joining you guys, writing it in bold, "ASSIGNMENTS ARE KILLING ME!". >.<''

And college not wear uniform anymore. Must ponder what to wear everyday. It can be frustrating for girls u know? Give them reason to shop more too. Haha. Well, things are meant to be experienced. Hope my worries are all a waste and I'll have a blast in college. Maybe I'll blog less if I'm busy yalah, as if I blog very frequently now or maybe I'll blog more often cause college life is definately going to be more eventful than the life I'm wasting now. (read: eat ,shit, sleep)

On another note, Goodbye~ waking up late. And Hello~ college!

Life Without Dad...

... is the title to an entry from my journal (that my high school head mistress had read before without my permission. whatthebuck.) dated two years ago, 17.6.07 to be exact.

Hey, it's Father's Day today! Although my dad is no longer around, that doesn't stop me from celebrating it. We brought my dad's favourite food and dishes, placed it on his altar and prayed.
What can I say about not having my dad around? Well, things certainly are not the same anymore. I did not realise it so much until he went to the 'other side'. *Sigh*
During this Father's Day period, there has been lots of advertisements in the media. Every time I come across all these advertisements, I can't help it but to be sad. Because I had not given anything to my dad on Father's Day when he's around. I have been planning on giving him neckties and etc all the years but unfortunately I don't have the chance anymore to give it to him in person. Oh, how much I regret it now... How much I miss him...
I hate it when people don't treasure their life. And can't be open minded and having the thoughts of killing themselves. Whereas there are people out there fighting for their dear lives against diseases, illnesses and so. Another thing that I hate is watching dramas or movies of anyone dying and everyone surround his/her bedside. All these movie/drama reminds me of "The Day".
Papa, I miss you!!!
Carmen.
I've grown out of feeling sad when I watch Father's Day advertisements now. It has been 4 years anyway. Or perharps it can be due to the fact that nowadays ad's themes are mainly promoting/selling their products rather than portraying love for your dad. I know how some people doesn't like their dad for some certain reasons. But from what I've experienced, life is definitely not easier without him, especially for your mom. As cliche as it may sound, don't learn to treasure something after it's gone.

Something I watched on Oprah. So sad yet so beautiful. I started teary-eye when the father said "it's 11 at night right now and my feeding shift has just begun. Mom is asleep and the best part of my day has just begun."

After edit.

I bet most of you are sick of looking at my same photos with the big rosy heart in the background. I use these photos taken from Yogur Berry for my MSN display pic, Facebook primary photo, Blog Follower and etc.

These photo were taken in Berjaya Times Square, Yogur Berry. It was exactly one week before our SPM '08 result release date. First (and only) hangout with Saddam, Michelle and Puey Kwan after our battle a.k.a Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia test, 3 months ago, ago... We have the shop all to ourselves and we shamelessly camwhored, giggled, sampat-ed like its nobody business. We even camwhore in Michelle's house before that.

Puey Kwan and Sugar, Michelle's dog who smiles for the camera every time. aww~

Every Yogur Berry outlet have one. Made from roses. Pretty~

small table and chairs for our big asses.

"Fong din". xD

4 sharing one over-priced yogurt ice cream.

she got pink highlights from the lighting.

yogurt ice cream, red bean "fish" cakes and walnut balls. OH SO YUMMY!

Saddam Hussein. His real name, no kidding. Poor thing got questioned every time he introduce himself.

my pout FAIL! Was pouting and giggling at the same time.

I miss you guys so much! I miss Shahrul, Rachel, Leo, Steph, Yin, Duri, Wei Xiang, Jarrod, Badio, Vick, Russel, Farina and all our classmates. Miss Puan Zahanita, Sushila, Sharmeen, Ilani, Shaliza, Datin and others too. I miss 4&5 Bestari 07/08. When will we get to hangout again? ='(

READMALAYSIA'09

I've been driving all most everyday lately. Improved my reflexes while turning at corners. And I manage to execute my 1st U-turn in a very narrow dead end lane today. (bangga!)
Dropped my bro off at the tuition centre. Drove to The Mines with cousins (they slept at my place the other night) for the READMalaysia'09 International Book Fair.
Date: 29th May - 7th June (Hurry, few days left!)
Time: 11 a.m - 10 p.m
Venue: MIECC, Mines Resort City. (just head to The Mines Shopping Fair, its next to it.)

Form 4&5 revision for my bro.

Look at the great bargains we got there! Pelangi revision books for RM10 (F4&F5. Original price: RM28.95), Rm5 for f4 OR f5. All the PMR, SPM, STPM revision and exercise books are selling for RM5 and RM10 only.

Shakespeare's Tragedy collection. RM19.45. half price! :D (Original price: rm38.90)

Hmm, how much do 500-pages hard cover encyclopedia normally cost? Rm100 above , you say? Nope, it's Rm49.90.

Not everything is so so so cheap there. You really have to scout for it. But it's not that hard finding good bargain as almost everything is on offer. Plus, the English section are not that big compared to Chinese & Malay section.

The Mines usually exhibit the Chinese Book Fair only and the place will be flooded. The traffic was so congested that it takes us at least one hour to get out from the basement car park the last time the Chinese Book Fair was held. It happened to be the final day of the exhibition.

Strangely, there's no jam at all today. It's International Book Fair Convention! I expect the exhibition centre would be crowded but it isn't. I guess the place will be packed during weekend. So, it is advisable to best go during weekdays to avoid jam.

Lazy Sunday

Ahhhh~ Such a Lazy Sunday it is. Whole family laze about the whole day. Went out to The Mines for KFC and catch a movie later at night. My aunt and family decides to join us and we (except my bro) wanted to watch Night at the Museum 2, but it was sold out. So we watched...

Even Terminator is FULL. But luckily there's 2 theatre open for Terminator. Hurriedly grab those tickets and we bought lots of snacks. My brother, my cousins-Weng Keong and Weng Dee and I were holding up the queue by demanding for more snacks and drinks at last minute. I ordered one LARGE popcorn and my bro lament "Only one where enough for 8 people!". So we got 2 LARGE popcorn.

Tickets for 8.

Turns out nobody wants popcorn cause they're still feeling stuffed with KFC. In the end, my bro and I each hugged a LARGE tub of popcorn and stuff ourselves silly! I was craving for my Chipster Hot & Spicy the whole time but felt the popcorn will be such a waste. It is when I reach half the tub, my craving extinguish because my tongue started bleeding. I don't want to burn my sore tongue with spicy chips, thank you.

We ate till there's one quarter left, both tubs COMBINED.
P.S: I smack a total of 4 mosquitoes by the time I finished this post. *scratches arm and legs*
